The man in this piece of artwork has been heartbroken. He doesn't understand anything anymore, he feels like he is left out, like that one dot that's farther from every other dot. Nothing feels the same to him anymore all because of the things he blames himself for even if they're not his fault... The weight of the world is on his shoulders so he eventually gave up, put his BAPE hoodie on, put his Air Forces on his feet, and "fell out of the galaxy". I used chalk pastels to make the galaxy sky falling from his shoes, head and hands. For the rest I used an ink sharpie and regular colored pencils. Personal emotions(specifically love) were my inspiration for this artwork. As soon as I came up with the thought, this image popped in my head and that's exactly what I went off with and this was my final piece(which is exactly what I imagined).
Honestly I never really thought about what I was doing when I did this artwork. I just used the ink splat as my base and went along with whatever I was doing. I'm not gonna lie this was supposed to be abstract but then out of nowhere a monster was made.
The title of this artwork is “7”. This is supposed to look like a faded memory. As if someone were unlucky(Like people consider the number 7)in life and couldn’t remember a lot of good things that happened in their life. The most obvious elements are the pitch black elements and the words that are meant to describe how a person may feel in this situation. Emotions in this artwork are supposed to be dull, blank, empty, faded, maybe even heartbroken. I made this to represent the people in this world who don’t understand how they feel or why they feel anything at all.
