If I had the chance to do any print over I would probably do my "Ripped" piece from my collagraph print. I feel like my print wasn't as creative as it should have been. I would've put more designs in it so that it wouldn't be so plain. My most successful print was probably "Snapped" from my Screen printing experience. It took a longer time than most of the other Printmaking stations but it was also easier for me. This was the first time I ever screen printed anything and it was a fun experience, probably my favorite. The reason why I feel like screen printing was my favorite is because I didn't have to get messy and it wasn't as difficult. It was a mix of drawing cutting and painting. I had the most fun with screen printing even though it was a longer process. I looked for different animals and objects that would be challenging to make with clay but none of them interested me. Then I just thought of bugs and looked up different bugs made out of clay. Not many spiders showed up so it brought me to my attention which made me start thinking that I should do a spider. This is my Styrogami work. I tried to make a city out of the bottom of the cup. It was kind of hard for me because II didn't know what else to do with it so iI just put my name and signature Slogan 'xOx' on the sides. Artist Statement |
